This may be bc Josh was the one coordinating our wedding on the day of & something got lost in translation? As for brides/grooms go, we were very laid back (really), so it wasn't really about the decor being "wrong", but more about having to notice that type of thing on our wedding day. But on the day of, much of the decor setup was different. The week of, we dropped off our decor & met with Kerry to go over everything. We knew from visiting & photos how beautiful it was, but on the day of, the setting felt truly exceptional.ĭecor: The only thing that wasn't 100% perfect. Setting: A++++ Our ceremony was outside and reception was in the pavilion. There seemed to be extra stuff that we didn't know would be offered - Crab legs?! Yes please. Its a buffet, so its not quite the same type of fine dining you might get at some catering halls, but the variety was so fun and amazing. Working with her and Josh was easy they are both very kind, accommodating, and professional.įood: A+. We mostly dealt with Kerry who answered our emails promptly and was very helpful. Planning/Lead up: We were planning from out of state, so we had to do everything over email/phone. People kept coming up to us saying that the venue, food, staff, etc was incredible. Everyone has said it was the most beautiful and relaxed wedding they've ever been to. We had our daytime brunch wedding at the Snapper Inn last month. We cant say thanks enough to Lori & the Snapper Inn staff for a perfect day! Sent on The one thing we both wanted was a great party.light on the usual wedding formalities and heavy on the fun.Ībsolute Entertainment provided beautiful uplighting that completely transformed the Pavillion from a simple room with with white ceilings to this glowing, pulsing dance hall! We also had this crazy photo booth called a Superbooth. We couldn't be more thrilled with both groups. My husband & I had a DJ & Band package w/ The Strecker Band & the Snapper Inn's DJ, Absolute Entertainment. Lori did an great job working within our budget to create a menu that worked and was delicious. We had Josh from Absolute Entertainment on guitar for cocktail hour out on the grass.the guests were chilling and enjoying the amazing views! Another big hit was the dessert stations with different cakes/pies instead of a wedding cake.loved it!! OUTSTANDING! We did cocktail out on the grass by the dock. One of my guests favorites was the raw bar with the little neck clams, oysters and shrimp. Food was great, the view from the Pavillion was spectacular & the Bartenders poured heavy :-) Lori Wentz was our coordinator at the Snapper and she was wonderful. I really want to review a couple of my vendors as a THANK YOU for giving us the greatest wedding EVER!! Our amazing Wedding was at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. I would highly recommend The Snapper Inn for a wedding and any other event needed! We are so thrilled with our choice to use them and can not wait to celebrate with future events there! Sent on Everyone raved about how delicious the food was! Matt and I recently went back for dinner and were remembered by the staff. Josh made sure no guests visiting the restaurant for dinner that evening walked outside during our ceremony/cocktail hour. Everything was set up so elegantly! The day of our wedding all staff was excellent and attentive. We had our ceremony overlooking the water, cocktail hour at the outside bar/dock, and our reception in the beautiful pavilion. Any requests we had for that day were done perfectly! The grounds of The Snapper Inn are beautiful. All emails and phone calls were answered quickly and thoroughly either by Josh or Kerry. Customer service was beyond excellent throughout the year and a half planning process. We knew at that meeting that was where we were going to get married. He answered all of our questions prior to asking them, and had a plan a,b,c, and d should we have had inclement weather the day of our wedding. Our first meeting with Josh went perfectly. Communication from the start was excellent! Matt and I were quickly able to make an appointment to come view the restaurant/grounds. After looking at a number of venues with nothing checking off all boxes on our “must have” list, Matt suggested The Snapper Inn.
